Terms & Conditions

Effective from 4 August 2026
This English text is an informational translation for your convenience. The legally binding version is the Czech one available at /obchodni-podminky. In case of any discrepancy, the Czech version prevails.
These terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern the rights and obligations between the operator of the ProveriPhone.cz service and the customer when ordering the electronic service of checking a phone by IMEI. By purchasing the service, the customer agrees to these Terms.

2. Definitions

3. Description and nature of the service

The Service consists of generating a Report which, based on the IMEI provided, gathers information available from Apple's databases, mobile carriers (GSMA) and, where applicable, other sources — in particular the iCloud / activation lock status, blacklist status, carrier lock, estimated age and information about the device's origin. The Report also contains a link to the official Czech Police app for checking the stolen-phone register.

The Report is purely informational. It is based on third-party data valid as of the issue date and does not constitute a guarantee, an expert opinion or a legal opinion. The information "not found in the stolen register" only means that the device was not among the reported devices on that day, not that it is provably not stolen.

4. Order and conclusion of the contract

The Customer orders the Service through the web interface by entering the IMEI and a contact email and completing payment. The contract is concluded upon successful receipt of payment. The order constitutes a proposal to conclude a contract; the language of the contract is Czech.

5. Price and payment

The price of the Service is stated in the web interface at the order and is usually 99 CZK per Report. The price is final (the Operator is not a VAT payer). Payment is made by bank transfer via a QR payment to the Operator's account; receipt of the payment is verified automatically through the bank's API and matched by variable symbol. The Operator does not process payment-card details.

6. Delivery of the service

The Report is delivered to the Customer electronically — made available on the web and sent to the email provided, usually immediately (within minutes) after payment is received. The Report is available for download as a PDF.

7. Withdrawal from the contract

A consumer Customer generally has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Because the subject of the Service is the supply of digital content, i.e. the provision of a service with immediate performance, when ordering the Customer:

Until the Report is delivered, the Customer may withdraw from the contract without giving a reason by email to info@proveriphone.cz.

8. Rights from defective performance and complaints

The Operator is responsible for the Service being provided in accordance with its description. A defect means in particular non-delivery of the Report, its technical malfunction or an obvious discrepancy with the order. The inaccuracy of input data originating from third-party databases (Apple, carriers, Czech Police) is not in itself a defect of the Service; however, the Operator handles complaints in a cooperative manner.

The Customer files a complaint by email to info@proveriphone.cz stating the order number. The Operator handles the complaint without undue delay, no later than within 30 days. If the complaint is justified, the Customer is entitled to re-provision of the Service or a refund of the price.

9. Accuracy of data and limitation of liability

The Report is an informational document compiled from databases and data of third parties (in particular Apple, mobile carriers and the Czech Police). The Operator merely takes over and passes on this data and has no ability to verify its accuracy. The Operator therefore does not and cannot guarantee the correctness, completeness or timeliness of the data in the Report and is not liable for any errors, inaccuracies or outdatedness caused by the data sources or by the temporary unavailability of those sources.

The Report does not serve as a guarantee of the condition, origin or functionality of the device. The decision to buy or sell the device is made by the Customer solely at their own responsibility; the Operator is not liable for such a decision or for whether the device is in fact stolen, functional or encumbered by third-party rights.

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any damage arising in connection with the use of the Report or reliance on the data contained in it; any compensation for damage is limited to the amount of the price paid for the Service. This does not affect consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the law.

10. Out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes

The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), with its seat at Štěpánská 796/44, 110 00 Prague 1, web www.coi.cz, is competent for the out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes. A consumer may file a complaint or a motion to start out-of-court dispute resolution there.

11. Personal data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.

12. Final provisions

Matters not governed by these Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, in particular the Civil Code and the Consumer Protection Act. The Operator is entitled to amend the Terms; for a given order the version effective at the moment it is submitted applies. These Terms are effective from 4 August 2026.
